Michael was on Spring Break last week. As it is his last Spring Break we decided to go home and make the most of it.
Make the most of it we did! Here's how we spent the week:
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday we both worked.
Wednesday we came home and had a special St. Patrick's Day date night at Richo's/New Albanian Brewing Co.
Thursday we slept blissfully late. I picked up Megan Birke and the new addition to mine and Megan's lunch dates Lincoln Birke! Boy is he a cutie. We enjoyed lunch at our usual spot, Cici's in New Albany. After lunch it was back to car shopping with Michael and his dad.
Thursday night was the 4th production of Faculty Night Live at CHS. My mom has participated ever year, and I have loved it every year.
Friday Michael and I slept in again and went car shopping, again. We test drove a car at Jim O'neal, and talked them down to a price we could live with, and told them "We'd think about it." We thought, prayed, and called for opinions and decided that was the car for us. Meanwhile we decided to have lunch before we called (Never buy a car on an empty stomach). We called and told the people at O'neal we'd be back and to have her ready for us at 3:30.
To keep ourselves from going insane we went to the High School to see the new construction, we even got a sneak peek at the new gym, it is going to be cool--literally it will have air conditioning! We also hung out with Grandpa and Grandma Hammond for a little bit.
We signed papers for about 20 minutes, handed them a cashier's check for the amount of the car, and away we went. I think I took the car to show everyone in the family that night.
Saturday we did some light shopping and I headed to the Caruso's. We watched them play a Wabbits concert, and caught up with Michael's buddy Quinten at Coffee Crossing.
Sunday we went to church with Michael's family.
