Flowers

When I got home today there was a "Sorry we missed you" card waiting for me from a flower shop. Michael had gotten it from the door for me. I asked him if he knew who they were from. He didn't. We assumed that it was either a lady that I worked with that just left Tuesday, or Mom. I called the flower shop and they brought them to me, and here is what the note said.

"Dear Laura, Thank you for sharing your mom, she is a wonderful friend to me." Khris Harris

Khris is one of my mom's good friends, who just lost her mother to cancer. I say lost, but anyone could tell from meeting her that LOST is the last thing she was.

I had a long week this week, and those flowers could not have come at a better time.

Hodge-podge

Easter weekend was fabulous! Michael and I got to spend lots of quality time with the Hammond family, as his family was out of town.

Friday we went to Nick and Christy's for dinner, and to play with Luke. Here are some pictures.

Bubbles!

Ridin' the Zebra!

Saturday Mom and I went to see Megan and got to meet Lincoln! What a big and CUTE baby. Megan looked gorgeous as always. Chris smelled a little funny from yard work (I'm joking Chris).

After we visited with the Birkes mom and I had lunch at steak n shake, and did a little shopping. We got Michael a toy to put together at steak n shake. We also got me the most adorable Betsey Johnson watch, part easter gift, part gift from mom. See the pictures below...

My bow watch!

Sunday we went to CIC for Easter service and afterward we went Grandma Hammond's house for Easter Dinner.

April 17th and 18th was Purdue's Spring Fest! We had a lot of fun with animals and booths.

One last humorous story. This week I am getting a new coach purse that I have been saving for. They don't have the particular style that I want in any of the stores I have been to, so I decided to make a one diminsional model of the purse. I am so excited!

Is that enough blog for you Holli? <3

Luke-isms, Horses, and other stuff

It is official...my nephew knows me!

The other day Luke was looking at the picture of Michael and me on my mom's fireplace, and saying RAH-RAH!

Mom and Christy had an end of radiation party for Grandma Hammond. Luke stood by the stairs looking up at my old room and kept saying An Rah-rah. He had said if to me on the phone a very few times, but it is great to feel loved, by him!

Luke is obsessed with balls. It is his favorite word. The other night Nick & Christy were at Target and so were mom and dad. Mom and Dad took Luke through the ball aisle. He loved it! When they left Luke noticed the balls outside of target (you know, the red concrete ones) He screamed "BAH!!"

We bought a ball for Luke for easter, I cannot wait to give it to him!

As many of you have read, I loooove cats. I miss Smokey, and we cannot have a cat in our apartment. However, about 3-4 weeks ago Michael and I found some horses at Purdue. They are just hanging out in a field behind the vet school. We have taken to walking around campus and bringing both horses a carrot every time we go down there. It is so nice to get some animal attention, and to walk. I will probably end up missing the horses when we leave in 2010.

Michael and I are coming home tomorrow for Easter weekend. I am hoping to meet Lincoln on Saturday, and do a little bit of shopping with my mom. Michael and I are saving our easter baskets until we get back home. It should make leaving home a little easier knowing that I have fun stuff waiting at home!
