Michael's birthday weekend

Kurt, Forrest, Michael and me after B-day dinner.

The Birthday cake!

Luke playing with the puppy at Memorial day dinner.

Michael's birthday was Saturday! He is 23 now. I worked Saturday morning, and headed up to Michael's house to celebrate the day with his family. One of our friends from Purdue and IUS, Forrest and one of his friends, came down for Michael's birthday dinner (Michael went to IUS before Purdue, which is where we met). We went to our favorite restaurant Sportstime aka Richo's aka New Albanian. We had a fantastic time at dinner, then Forrest and Kurt came back to Michael's house and we played bowling on the wii! After they left Michael and I decided to drive over to waterfront park. We walked around and enjoyed the beautiful weather and talked. As much as I love spending time with his parents and our friends, it is always enjoyable to do something just the two of us.

Sunday morning before Michael came to pick me up for church I went to dairy queen and got his birthday ice cream cake! He loves their cakes, but his parents normally make him a birthday dessert rather than buying him one. Then we went to church, came home and celebrated his birthday all over again. We had pizza for lunch and then we had cake. I even made sure that Michael was good and embarassed by making my family sing happy birthday to him. The cake was amazing, and so was the rest of the day. We spent the rest of the day with family. We made a quick Sam's club run with Nick and Christy, and then we watched tv together, after that we went to my aunt Deb's house to see the new puppy. We also stopped by Grandma's house.

Yesterday My aunt had a memorial day dinner with the Hammonds.

It was a great weekend!

My weekend

I had a nice weekend with Michael. Went we to the charlestown pizza company for dinner and then played on the playground at Jonathan Jennings for awhile. We came back and watched some tv together. Saturday afternoon I went to Michael's house and instead of getting ready for dinner with his parents, (his parents were going out to dinner after a friend's baby was baptized), we made Brinner or breakfast for dinner. It is always fun to make dinner together, which with our parents it is rare that we have the opportunity. We took his dog, Bellinda aka Bee, for a walk and spent a fantastic evening together playing mariokart and watching house hunters!

Today Michael went to CIC with me. We had lunch with my whole family, and got to spend some quality time with Luke. Michael stayed until I had to leave for work. What a fantastic weekend!

Tomorrow I have my wisdom teeth taken out...ouch! I'm sure I will make an interesting looking chipmunk.

Other than that the only thing of note is that I have yet again found a purse that I love, and shoes too...so if you don't have any interest in either of those things I suggest that you forgo this last paragraph, and accept my condolences from for the girly topic.

Most people know that I am a purseaholic. Recently however, shoes have been capturing my attention more than ever. I will always love flip flops more than anything else. I saw a pair of flip flips the other day on the LL Bean website. There is this one pair of flip flops on their site that have lobsters on them! I don't know what it is, but at this point anything that has a girly looking lobster on it I am finding to be strangely attractive.

A wonderful evening

I had a magnificent time at Megan and Chris' wedding! Everything including that bride was gorgeous! I also enjoyed a chance to get dressed up and go out with Michael.

After the wedding Michael took me out to my favorite restaurant, Sportstime, aka Richos, aka The New Albanian. He knew that would be a nice treat for me! Afterwards we came back to my house and we were getting ready to go in my house when we noticed it had started to sprinkle just a little well Michael pulled me over to him and said he had always wanted to kiss me in the rain. I know I know, some of the old married folks wanna throw up now... anyways... We got into house and there was a package for me on the counter. I had been wanting this shirt from a catalog, and Michael had said it was too expensive. Well, he had ordered it as a surprise for me! He is so sweet!

Ok, ok, I'll update!

I am a bad blogger!

My life has gotten busier since Michael got home for the summer. I haven't even charged my ipod for 3 weeks! I feel like I have been extremely busck y, but I am not sure what with.

I got my grades back and I had a good semester. More A's than anything else. Which is happy!

Michael and I have started making a list of songs for our wedding. I am getting really really excited about our wedding. In fact I am a little jealous that Megan and Chris will be married today. But I am thrilled for the two of them. I am really looking forward to their wedding tonight. Michael and I have never gotten to do much dancing, both of us are uncoordinated so this should be entertaining.

Also, I have started looking into some of the smaller details of the wedding, like finding a garter, picking out favors, deciding what tuxes the guys will be wearing, picking out ushers, looking at flower options, and looking into wedding party gifts. Also, my mom and I met with Donna, our caterer. She is catering our wedding as a wedding gift for Michael and me. Which is AMAZING!

Michael and I are soo happy! He got a job at the company he worked for last summer, that company has been very good to him! We are trying to save as much money as we can so that means a little less driving to see each other (it is 35 minutes round trip between our houses), but we are doing well with it. I mean we are used to not seeing each other for 3 weeks at a time so this is cake for us! It is so unreal to think that Michael will be here for the next three months, and then we will be married, and not longer have to commute to see each other. I don't know what else to say without sounding sappy, but I am so happy and in love.

This blog is for you Tawana :-) I love you!
